動物園遊記

上一次到動物園應該是小學時的遊覽活動。

數一數﹐離開小學已經快十三年了。我所屬的那間小學也被拆了。動物園的記憶也忘了。

平常也不會因為沒事而想到動物園玩。對我而言﹐那是個給遊客﹐學生﹐情侶去的地方。入門票成人20元﹐這筆錢沒事我是不會花的。

但剛好公司舉辦的家庭日﹐今年地點就在動物園。Anti-social的我其實並沒興趣的(又沒bf可以帶去)﹐但因為委員會已經把每人300元的全年休閒費用(無論你有沒有去)從我們的成本中心扣除﹐而原本也和我那邊的其他三位女生一塊約好要去﹐所以就對動物園有一丁點的期盼。

誰知卻被其中兩個放無聲的飛機﹐所以我就問了其餘的那位(我的"接班人")她要不要我的票和她的朋友去﹐如果不﹐那可以把票給我嗎? 有可能她因為怕paiseh還是什麼的﹐便無條件地把票給了我﹐害得我有點內疚。早知道就自己拿多幾張咯﹐然後帶整幫動物們去探望她們的"親戚s"。哈哈!

今天﹐只帶了那只鳥和我一塊去。動物園後便要一同去與五月天震開地板! 呵呵。

因為昨晚和同事們到KBox颩歌颩到凌晨3點﹐一回到家﹐沖個涼便倒頭大睡﹐忘了調鬧鐘﹐睡到那只鳥在早上9點慌慌張張打給我時才發現原來這麼晚了。還好是這只鳥(通常都是我等她的)﹐不是另外兩隻貓族的動物﹐要不然不是被抓死就是被咬死。其實﹐那只鳥也睡過鐘。哈哈! 我們還約好9點要在湖畔一塊去﹐9點兩個還被周公扣留著。笑翻了﹗

到動物園已經11點多了。到了會場晃了一晃﹐會場設立了一些游戲﹐大多給小孩玩耍﹐大人們都在亭下納涼﹐或排隊領午餐。反正我不喜歡Networking的﹐露個面﹐便跑去自由探險了。

日本にいきます!! (Phase 1: Financial Planning)

I've decided to:
1) Go Jippun in Oct.
2) Be there for 15 days.

Initially I was still toying ard with the Jippun idea, being that its kinda way out of budget if I keep buying toys there and that its a whole half month thingy.

That was like, late last yr, beginning this yr.

From then till now, I got a pay raise bundled with a lot more job responsibilities = premature aging = need to get away from it all (for a while). But the 15 days is still kinda big question mark. Hopefully my boss okies it. And that 15 days is going to eat up 10 days of my leave.

Thus my initial plan was to join the folks in Tokyo and shop ard there only. But I got psychoed by an "experienced financial consultant". (WAHHAHAHHAHA)

And so it became 15 days, aka full trip with them ard Jippun.

My budget: SG$5,000 still. Better to budget more.

From now till Oct: 4 months.

Other factors: Course fees ~ -2k, A/R for lappy loan +1.5k, entry-level DSLR (probable, and I wanna learn photography!!) ~ -1k, GSS shopping!! ~ unestimatable.

Assuming I pull out 3k from my current meagre savings...

Target savings per month: SG$800 - SG$1,000.

That shld suffice. IF I have the determination..

Return from Japan, eat grass for abt a week, Oct pay! Wahahha! Scrimp for a month.. BONUS!!! MWAHHAHHAHHAHHHAHHAHA~~~

眼睛累了

今天﹐參與了一項緊急應變演習。

雖說參與﹐其實是名字被拿去填補空位般地放上去。樓下的日值員工們都被動員了﹐也因為是我們的"案件"啦。

完全不好玩。狀況進展得很慢。如果是真的事件發生﹐應該會是完全另一回事。慢得我差點倒頭大睡。

太多表格要填了。填了也不知要幹嗎。反正整天我就是上網看天氣預報﹐風速﹐浪表﹐這些在日常工作/生活中不會與我打交道的東西。然後又被人當成打印機﹐只因為我坐在那兒(我需要LAN Point)。也搞不懂為什麼打印台被安置在策劃部﹐又沒有人看護。

又因為我一大早(比平時早)就出門﹐又在平常塞車的地方被塞了一下(我住在一下樓就會塞車的地方)﹐搞得我準時到(我本來計劃早10分鐘到)﹐進公司就完全石頭化。把筆記型電腦搬到樓上舉行緊急應變演習的會議室﹐聽總長重複整個過程﹐就變成化石了。

整個演習到了4點多才結束。那時的我仿彿完全虛脫般地把我的"資產"搬下樓﹐就愣在那兒。頭腦檔機了。5點又有個"小會議/訓練班"。小=要7點才結束。本想做點工﹐但眼睛累了﹐關機﹐跑人。

昨天去拿了我的眼鏡﹐改過好多了﹐又是免費的。哈哈!

明天是假日﹐但要幫我的"接班人"終結一些系統的東東。看來我又會一開機就做個幾小時了。

老闆不在。

桌上擺著剛列出的"To-do list"與一些printouts﹐密密麻麻的數據s。電腦里開著好幾個spreadsheets。

頭腦在放空中。。。

上週幹了什麼好事呢。。

種了棵木棉樹﹐期待木棉花開。洗了那盆水晶s﹐順道割了自己幾劃。繼續淨化我吧。Aquarama﹐ 沒去﹐昏睡了整個禮拜天﹐以至晚上睡不著。

眼鏡﹐拿去重做了。那時配的度數太高﹐遠看還ok。近看就矇了。尤其是看電腦。但我就是配來看電腦的﹐所以沒辦法跑回去重做了。不是那時那位仁兄﹐但這位似乎比較好。問了很多。

原來axis是那個光線的角度。而我的一個horizontal﹐ 一個vertical。怪人就是怪人。

買了NDS﹐那只鳥給了我很多games。一直在玩。買PSP時都沒有這樣瘋。早知道就買NDS了。省那架PSP的錢。

期待著假日。期待著拜五的聚會。期待著動物園。期待著五月天。。

終於..

雖然只是短短的13天, 就好像挨了一兩個月似的.

考試應該是大多數學生的天敵吧. "翻"書翻到黑眼圈都跑出來了. 而我的頭腦, 只是最多512mb 的flash disk thumb drive 罷了. 死背, 我看我背到死都會忘掉大半部份咯. 我是write kok category 的, 所以theory paper 比較容易.

那天玩了那只鳥的NDS中的Brain Age. 我的flash memory還真不賴. 腦袋年齡: 28歲.雖然比實際的老, 不過記錄中全都是4, 50歲的"老"袋s. 有點被gian-ed 到去買NDS了..

考了四張, 不期望拿高分, 及格過關就好. 尤其是accounts, 我根本做不完. Pass 就好..

今天的那張, 題目我看得懂, 只是.. 怎麼沒記得多一點那些題目的答案!?!??! 討厭死我自己了.

如果能看見未來就好了, 就可以看到會出什麼題目. WAHHAHAHAH.

頭腦燒壞了.

對了, 那天剛去開了我的第三個戶口, 在UOB的第一個. 要存錢就要把它secretly stash 起來, 醬才會直線上昇. 順道被說服簽了個Savings Plan. 就醬在銀行待了一個鐘頭多, 還差點連隨Plan附送的Ipod Shuffle 都忘記給我.

好. 既然考完了, 腦袋放空!~

As I was staring at the spreadsheet full of Arial font size 8 numbers at 75% and creating bar charts and powerpoint slides to submit to my boss's boss, I reached for my cup of Meiji strawberry milk placed behind my lappy..

I toppled the cup of pink liquid onto the keyboard of my office lappy.

Panic Mode [ON]

MSN-ed my brother on my lappy.

Mwoofy - sucking thumb.. SHIT I SPLIT MILK ON MY OFFICE LAPPY! says:

While he was replying, I had:
1) Pulled numerous tissues out from the moomoo tissue cover and lay it over the disaster area, aka the keyboard
2) Got a rag and started cleaning the floor
3) Finished the remaining milk in the cup
4) Got a mop and started mopping my strawberry milk footprint trail
5) Save my working files before the lappy crash on me (which didnt, luckily)

N so he came over, saw my disaster area, and laffed.

After he got his laughter cured by a few smacks n pokes from me, he promptly got his screwdriver and "screwed" the keyboard out, i.e. the individual keys and clean them.

With alcohol. Or rather, some thinner thingy that I use for my cars.

Meanwhile I proceeded with cleaning and dettol-sing the table and the planks, since its like I had to clean one part of the table, might as well clean the whole thing more shiok.

Thus conclusion for this incident, my table is too small for 2 laptops and a cup of Meiji strawberry milk.

2007 1st paper, retail therapy, & sewing button

I've been punching the keyboard too much. Its freaking tough to write 3 hours CONTINUOUSLY with very tense muscles and stressed brain.

Its my 1st paper. I've been studying (the study guide) rigorously since saturday, spending hours at KAP. No I HATE KAP. I rather go SIM.

Just that I dun wanna die of hunger in SIM and princess wanna study his bridging papers at KAP.

Marketing paper. With as much confidence I can muster, I think I can pass lah. I have confidence in the marketing research question, although whether I answered to the point, or if my scribbles are legible enuff, is another question. I pretty much lumped the whole marketing research chapter in those 3 pages.

I can almost answer the rest of the questions, even thou we are only required to choose 4 out of 8. Just that the question that I can answer are all parts of a question, not the full question.

Ansoff came out, not accompanied by BCG as always, but with brand development model & international product promotion model. I can answer a whole question Ansoff and BCG but not brand development and the other model.

Indonesia vs Japan. I wrote a lot of factors, hopefully some of them are related.

Product Life Cycle. Ok. Y is it not so applicable in real life. So-so.

Thats one paper down. 3 hours. Almost lost my right hand. So much for marketing.

In a state of "shock", went for some retail therapy. "Some"..

I spent $325. 170 on new formal work clothes. I'm being a loyal supporter of G2000 and Dano already. 35 on a new bag, the old Billabong looks too rugged. The rest on Meow's belated bday present.

And I had a tough time trying to sew a "double-sided" button on my sleeve. Looked high and low b4 I found the original spare buttons and conceptualised a while to get the sewing going.

Bought a new phone. Even thou 6681 is still surviving well with 3 more months to fully depreciate.

Just that my bro's contract ended, and he used mine the other time to buy his phone, so dat gaves me the chance for the new phone.

I'm a candy bar phone person, simply bcos its simple. This slider is giving me the pains while sms-ing. Still not used to it yet.

Althou it kinda feels pro to use the phone on calls. But pros seldom use sliders. Or at least those at my place. I see candy bars most of the times.

Well, those at my place aint concerned abt fashion or wat-so-ever. They carry deuter or brandless haversacks for laptops. :P

Back to the phone, hm.. cos mine's an m1 phone but I'm a singtel subscriber, its kinda irritating when u're trying to connect to somewhere n they keep linking to the m1 access point. Needa switch it to wifi mode.

No games, other than golf, which requires downloading from the catalogue. No radio, althou I dun use it. The camera is not auto, and without an easy to access key at the side. The menu buttons are too small. blah blah.

Now I'm kinda wondering y i bought this phone.

Ok lah. Its good.. its good.. The wifi is good..

Wait till i explore it further.

Laughter & Lemon-ed Day

頭有點痛..

笑太多了..

真的有點把一整個月的laughter quota 在兩個小時裡給笑完了.

就因為被sabo明天去打公司的桌球比賽, 今天就和幾位同事去"練習"一下. 都是一些愛鬧的人, 搞得笑料百出. 應該多找他們出來玩. 公司所推廣的work-life balance應該就是這樣吧. (只不過那個work也應該balance out 吧)

染了頭髮後, 照鏡子時臉色看起來真有點蒼白. 總之就是有點說不出的不一樣. (雖然那些看我久了的人都不是很驚訝我的"新"髮色, 就像我老媽根本都沒唸我說又亂花錢. 不知是沒察覺還是懶得過問.)

今天, 穿了比較formal的服裝, 因為我被拉去見客戶. 怎知卻被取笑了一整天. 真的, 真的, 真的那麼像嗎? 自己的部門還不用緊, 雖然最酸的檸檬在那. 殘的是連樓上不大認識我/她的人都在討論我們是不是同一個人. 嘩.. 醬我不是又看到幾年後的自己. 有點擔當不起.

其實.. 我覺得.. 一點都不像..

有的可能只是seh有點像罷了.

這份新的工作會和她有經常的接觸. 最好是不要再在她的面前說我是她的Mini版了. 尷尬死了.

說到新的職位. 快兩個月了, 還在適應中. 太多, 太亂, 又有點一個人在摸索 (都說我是dao gia 了.也沒辦法, 我們是new kid on the block.). 開會經常被打岔, 有時會想叫他們DIAMMMMM.. LISTEN TO ME! 天啊..幾時才能穩住陣腳...

New table

After 1 mth plus of procrastinating, I finally moved my butt out of my cosy area to a super cold and lizard galore corner.

Actually, I dun see the real need to change table, other than my current boss doesnt wanna walk so far to look for me.

My new table is like.. less than 20 metres away.

The only good thing is.. its neater (cos i cleared all the old stuff n packed into 2 boxes under my table) and bigger space (cos the 2 drawer cabinets are pushed to the back and not restrainted by the cubicle).

N my new girl (actually she's older than me. by abt 8 yrs), is another gan chiong character. Reports always got stuck then panic. Makes me worry if she'll panic till cry. Hmm..

My pet phrase is becoming,"Slowly lah, mai gan chiong.. panic oso no use."

Hahaha.

Probably its my upbringing. Probably its my 8 yrs stint as basketball player. Probably its my ex-boss. Probably probably.

On a sidenote, I went for a haircut, and I dun wanna layer it = the hairdresser cant do anything till it grows out = I needa tolerate the kiao-ness. So.. I DYED my hair AGAIN! Impulsively. After like 2 yrs of blackness. Does that count as cool or??

Anyway， 她刚从NIE出来就被派到我们这班"死鬼"(另一位老师这样称呼我们的，其实她似乎称呼所有的学生"死鬼"咯)。赚到的当然是我们。而她呢。。该说是幸运得到我们的磨炼，还是不幸碰到这群小鬼，把她的血都吐完。

一团乱

鸡蛋的啦。从没看过这么乱的spreadsheet。做了两个月，两个月都发现有bug，未免
太厉害了吧。

都不知道要怎样交代。

也不知道我的数据正不正确。

总觉得有小人从中搞乱。

酱哪有时间温习嘛。。。

不要再开会了。超浪费时间的说。工作已经吃进私人空间了!

Like all reviews have said.. the service is freaking slow. But at least the food is fresh, the que is not horrendously long like a few doors down the street, and we're not cramped like little pigs in a cage.

The 麻辣 is freaking spicy. My stomach is actually still a bit feverish even after a Mac supper and Frappe. (SOMEONE PLS REMIND ME NOT TO ORDER FRAPPE!! ITS NOT THE 1ST TIME ALREADY!!!) I got tricked by the Vanilla (which is not chocolate) for your info.

Shucks I still have zillions of reports and spreadsheets to figure out head n tail. N my weekends will be burnt with ME lectures. DAMN!

几嚣张一下的说...

其实几个月前就知道歌卖了，可是上到一半才领到那张支票，上面的认领日期还是我的生日。哇哈哈! 所以那张应该算是毕业证书吧。

最近一首，也就是卖给新人那首，曲卖了，我的词应该是被退了。鸡蛋。我还挺满意那首词的副歌的说。有点浪费，不过，也没办法，有人要写，要不然那可就是我真正的毕业证书。算了，懒得去管，顺其自然。有空有可能会博那首词上来。

没关系，我还可以写更好的。你等着瞧! 哇哈哈!

对了。报纸上那位卖给伊姐的人，就是我。

又开始嚣张了。哇哈哈哈! 神经!

那天也顺道被某记者(x 2)访问。没准备，精神错乱地说了一堆，就是忘了应该激励学生们来参与 (因为报刊的读者大多都是学生)，还可以顺便说我是裕廊的某位"禽兽"老师的学生。

就是。。。 忘了说。

明天又要回去跟数字战斗了。好想放个长假出国旅行! 就是我有钱，别人没有空。
